About the role:

As the Senior Director of Growth, you will lead our product-led growth initiatives, driving both our self-serve business and supporting our product-led sales motion. In this dynamic position, you'll orchestrate a comprehensive, full-funnel growth strategy encompassing acquisition, activation, expansion, and retention. Working in close collaboration with leaders across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and Go-to-Market teams, you'll own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our growth initiatives.

You’ll establish and implement scalable experimentation programs that not only drive revenue growth but also foster a culture of continuous testing and learning. This highly cross-functional role demands a leader who can effectively partner across all departments to achieve ambitious revenue targets and thrives in chaos.

What you will do:

  • Lead Vercel’s Growth Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies, across the entire funnel from acquisition to expansion, aligning with company objectives and customer needs. Own self-serve revenue targets and enterprise pipeline goals.

  • Growth Leadership: Communicate the vision and strategy to stakeholders and executive team, ensuring buy-in and alignment across the organization. Act as the go-to expert for all Growth projects, providing insights and guidance to drive success.

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead high-performing product growth and growth marketing teams, fostering a culture of curiosity and customer empathy. Mentor and develop team members.

  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Design and execute data-driven acquisition campaigns and retention strategies to increase customer lifetime value and reduce churn. Leverage customer feedback and analytics for continuous improvement.

  • Product-Led Growth: Drive product-led growth initiatives, collaborating with Engineering and Design teams to enhance user engagement and expansion. Use data and quant research to identify growth opportunities.

  • Reporting & Insights: Manage self-serve revenue and enterprise pipeline goals, tracking progress and reporting on key performance indicators. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports. Consistently share back insights from experiments or research to the rest of the organization.

  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Stay informed about industry developments and emerging technologies.

About you:

  • 12+ years of experience in growth, product management or marketing.

  • Proven history of leading high-performing Growth teams, and over achieving on self-serve and enterprise pipeline goals in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with frontend ecosystem and deep empathy for developers

  • Creative problem solver who can think outside the box to develop new approaches to growing revenue.

  • Ability to independently analyze data, identify growth opportunities, and make actionable product decisions.

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with product, engineering, design, sales, customer success, and marketing teams to drive cohesive product-led growth motions.

  • Ability to think strategically, learn fast, and communicate with impact.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $264,000.00 - $363,000.00.  This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be  adjusted based on employee location.  The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
