About the role:

We’re looking for a web designer excited to blend aesthetics with functionality for our digital spaces. You’ll have the chance to work on landing pages for our over 600,000 monthly active users— developers who are just as passionate about creating engaging, intuitive user experiences as you are. In this role your design expertise will contribute to the growth and dynamism of a community that values innovation. This role is not just about crafting visuals; it's about being at the forefront of where artistry meets the needs of developers worldwide.

What you'll do:

  • Design and develop visually appealing, user-centric websites that align with Vercel's brand identity.

  • Optimize landing pages to drive engagement and conversions as well as designing our event landing pages.

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive web style guide to ensure consistent design across all online platforms.

  • Collaborate with product designers, UX designers, and engineers to ensure cohesive end-to-end user experiences.

  • Design web graphics, icons, and user interfaces that enhance usability and engagement.

  • Develop responsive designs that work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.

  • Execute and iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and best practices.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, technologies, and tools to keep our web presence cutting-edge.

  • Manage web design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

About you:

  • You have 5+ years in web design, with solid knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles

  • You have a well-curated portfolio showcasing web design projects and your ability to create compelling digital experiences.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of user behavior, funnels, marketing channels, and mobile to fuel appropriate creative design.

  • You're someone who values collaboration and the iteration process.

  • You've worked in technology-driven, creative environments and global B2B or SAAS businesses

  • You're proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and other web design tools.

  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first principles.

  • Awareness of Vercel and its products is a plus.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $160,000.00 to $215,000.00.  This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be  adjusted based on employee location.  The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.
